Introduction
I joined this Meetup because I'm part of the club and I'm thinking this is the best way for us to keep in contact.
What do you spend most of your time flying? (hand launch, sailplanes, park flyers, jets, helis, etc...)
I'm pretty much a thermal guy. I like planes that allow me to cover some ground when I fly. On the other hand, the simplicity of a DLG or electric is appealing when time is limited.
How would you rate your flying skills (beginer, novice, intermediate, expert, hotshot, etc..)?
Good enough that whenever I break an airplane I can honestly say (scream) to myself "what WERE you thinking?!!"
Any special talents?
I can break the control arms on a JR digital servo ... on launch.
List some planes or Helis from your "Hangar"
Three (YIKES!) Pike Superiors (one is for sale ;-)). A Chinsee and a Koleos. I have an Arrow Pro on order and am thinking about a little scale electric.
How long have you been flying R/C
I started in 1980, flew until around 1992, stopped to try some other things and started flying RC again in 2006. All I've ever flown (RC that is, I did U-control and freeflight as a kid ... you know, dope, silkspan, .049's) is sailplanes until getting the Koleos (it used to be Russo's).
